A MAN from a remote western desert community was last night being airlifted to a Perth hospital after he was shot by police with a Taser gun and engulfed in flames.
The incident happened about midday yesterday at the West Australian community of Warburton after police went to a house where Ronald Mitchell and others were sniffing petrol.via news.com.au
I think its pretty damn obvious peoples. Electricity sparks and petrol fumes DO NOT MIX well!
Next we will see signs at Petrol Stations - Do Not Use Tasers while refuelling!
It is sad that this happens, but when you have a raging full-grown man hurtling toward you with a can of petrol, there are not many options. At least, with this, he was not a victim of the "shoot to kill" mentality we have seen so often in the past from Police.
