As a qualified educator, and educator of the educators, I am a communications expert; understanding how and why information delivery works and doesn't work. I have experience with technology and consider myself an information-futurist. I am a dreamer!

Now, enough of that wank and onto some more...I have been a teacher of modern English and literature, taught people the skills of learning, teaching and communicating. A can look at big and little pictures and advise on getting from point A to point B. I can read maps!

I am an excellent facilitator, negotiator and have, on many occasions in the past, presented to small and large groups alike. I am a talker!

My experience in commercial enterprise has helped me take a leap from the structure and politic of government back into the real world. I am a thinker!

But I am a teacher; was a teacher of skills and knowledge, and now, like most of us, just a teacher.

Magda Szubanski said drivers should open their doors to hit cyclists / Channel Ten
COMEDIAN Magda Szubanski has been forced to apologise for a scathing attack on cyclists, where she encouraged drivers to knock them over with their car doors.

Appearing on Channel Ten's Good News Week, Szubanski accused cyclists of using Melbourne's Beach Rd as their personal gym before adding drivers should "just open the door, just open the door, take that", the Herald Sun reports.

"I don't care if you're cycling to commute, but if you're doing it for exercise, a four lane highway is not your gym," she screeched.

"Perhaps I could take my car and drive around your backyard."

Comedian Julia Morris joined the rant, exclaiming people should "just drive and take them out".

I am sorry too. But! I think people need to get over themselves a little. Comedy - even if you may not find it particularly humorous is just that, its comedy. Whether or not Szubanski actually, truly, feels this way - it was a joke. A Joke people.

The fact that I would probably think these very thoughts is another matter.

I am, once again, disappointed. Let's just turn this nation into a sack of ol' boring-farts and forget about our culture of humour and comedic-observation that has served our entertainment industry for so long.

Hello! Is this Australia?? I think I may have woken up in some sorry-assed-backward-sanitised world....yet again!

Victorians would give up sex, partner or car before internet

  • Internet use has tripled in some areas
IT'S official - Victorians simply can't live without the internet.

A new survey shows most of the state would give up sex, our car or even our partner before surrendering the beloved internet.

When given a list of things they could survive without for a month, seven out of 10 Victorians said they would rather give up their partner than their internet - higher than the national average, the Herald Sun reports.

I have to admit at this point, that I may live in Western Australia, but I am Victorian. And yes, I would probably give up the sex before the net.

Hell, theres a lot of spicey stuff out there on that big darn world wide web ;)
