PRIME Minister Kevin Rudd has rejected a call for his salary to be tripled to $1 million.

Nationals Senate leader Barnaby Joyce made the call after the Remuneration Tribunal this week recommended a three per cent pay rise for MPs and senior public servants, a rise the Government has accepted.

Senator Joyce said it was a commercial reality that the highest officeholders should be "within sight" of the sort of money someone in business is paid for running a similar sized company.

One would be curious as to "how rubust" was his No! ;)

And of course, not forgetting that he, and all his fellow parliamentarians DO receive a pay rise! 3 percent of $300,000 is still a nice bonus!

PROMISES that special chemicals could duplicate money have allegedly duped three Victorian businesses.

Police said the businesses gave about $160,000 in cash to two men in the belief their money would double when soaked in chemicals, the Stonnington Leader reported.

A supermarket receipt, uncovered during investigations, has since revealed the chemical formula as bleach, baby powder and hair spray.

Police said the two men would conduct the "procedure" out of sight each time, transfer the money into their possession, then wrap up worthless pap er in aluminium foil or another non-see-through casing.

Detective Sgt Andrew Healey said the business owners were told to leave the wrapped package for 24 hours while the chemical worked.

All I can say is...you dick heads! Seriously! WTF!

Yes, people really can be dumb sometimes. Next time just send me the cash instead - at least you know it will go to a good home and you won't feel quite so embarrassed!
