As I mentioned, on the weekend I was the proud new owner of an XBox 360 Elite gaming console. Well, I must admit, this is a whole new experience for me! As you can see from my 'avatar' (yes its pretty much a good representation of me!) I am a bit nerdy, but never one who was into the whole gaming thing.

So, in between my usual habits, reading/watching news (far too excessively!), television, reinstalling my Windows 7 VM etc etc, I have been learning about the whole gaming console, and specifically the whole Xbox thing.

I have a gamertag - its Forillion - this is representative for a few reasons that for the moment will remain personal. I have a couple of games - though I am feeling like I need to explore and play them one at a time in order to:

• become more familiar with the whole thing;
• advance through a game from the start; and
• focus!

Eventually I will get it all under control, but its all quite daunting really. Games, movies, media sharing, XBox live, silver, gold, avatars, stuff and stuff and even more stuff!!!

So for now, its just a learning thing. Feel free to give me advice, add my gamertag or make suggestions....its nice to have another thing to learn :)

Well this weekend is the precursor to yet another birthday. Don't they come around quickly? If you didn't know, I hit a whopping 39! Not tooooo old I guess, well compared to some..but alas, they just keep adding up. Lets all go back to 29, I think that would be a better idea :)

Although the birthday is not really until Monday, Michael decided I would prefer to receive one of my gifts a little early, to enjoy it over the weekend. Indeed, I am now the proud owner of a new XBOX360 Elite console. Now, what do I do with this!? Well, it came with Forza Motorsports, a great realistic car racing simulator. Well it will be a fun time @ our house as we learn to drive all over again!

Lots more to explore as I learn about Xbox live and such. So who knows. More to come obviously, but, lets not get addicted! ;)
